About Alexa

• The Alexa virtual assistant is voice activated—speak to it by saying “Alexa” and then a command phrase
• To stop the current command, or cancel music playing, say “Alexa Stop”.
• To adjust the volume, either use the buttons on the Echo device or say, “Alexa set volume 4” (or any number between 1 and 10, where 1 is quietest).

Amazon Echo Devices

• Amazon Echo devices are found in the kitchen, living room, conservatory and garage.

Alexa on the Bathroom TV ("Whole House" only)

• Hold down the microphone button on the Amazon Firestick remote (black remote, next to the bath) and speak your command
• Press and hold the “Prime Video” button and speak the Alexa command you require

Alexa on the Cinema Room TV ("Whole House" only)

• Press and hold the “Prime Video” button and speak the Alexa command you require

Playing Music

• Access the full online Amazon Music library, which contains over 40 million songs.
• For example, try saying “Alexa play songs by Queen”, or “Alexa play Surfin’ USA”.

• Alexa play Capital Radio
• Alexa what date is it?
• Alexa translate Cedar Lodge into Welsh
• Alexa how old is Tom Cruise?
• Alexa tell me about Colwyn Bay
• Alexa what is the weather today?
• Alexa set timer for 5 minutes
