Cinema Room TV Instructions
TV is provided via the Sky Q service, which has a large selection of the channels in HD, together with Netflix which has Ultra-HD (4k resolution) programmes available. Our home cinema system comprises an LG 86” Ultra-HD TV, linked to an LG soundbar, subwoofer and full surround sound with Dolby Atmos. DVD/Blu-Ray discs can be played via the Xbox.

Please turn off the TV when you are finished using it (long press on the power button of the Sky remote)
HELP: The sound isn't working!
The connection from the TV to the sound bar can sometimes need resetting. The sound bar should show "Optical LG" and the sound should come from the bar itself. If this is not working:
- Switch the TV off using the LG remote
- Switch the Sky box on using the Sky remote
- Press Home on the Sky remote. This should activate the TV, but if not switch the TV on using the Sky remote and press Home on the Sky remote again.
The sound should now be working through the sound bar speakers
Sky Q remote
Use this remote to control most viewing functions
- To turn on the TV: press the Power button (top left button on the remote)
- To turn off the TV: press the Power button and hold it down until the TV switches off
- To access Sky TV: press the “Home button”, use the arrow keys to navigate the menus and select items by pressing the button in the middle of the arrows
- Netflix: press the “Home” button and select the “Apps” menu item. Choose Netflix from the list
- Catch-up TV: to access a full range of catch-up TV (BBC, Channel 4, etc) press the “Home” button, and select catch-up TV.
LG Magic remote
This remote controls more advanced functions for the TV
- If you wish to switch between the Sky Box and Xbox, press the "Input Select" button (located between the Netflix and Prime Video buttons) and choose the required option.
- Using Alexa: press and hold the “Prime Video” button and speak the Alexa command you require
- Advanced: it is also possible to access your personal Netflix and Amazon Prime accounts. See detailed instructions below.
Sound Bar remote
This remote controls more advanced functions for the sound bar. You should not need to adjust these.
Accessing Your Own Netflix and Amazon Prime Services
You can access your personal Netflix and Amazon Prime accounts (if you subscribe to these services) by logging into these from the TV. To do this:
- Click the dedicated Netflix or Amazon Prime button on the TV remote.
- Log in using your personal username and password.
Your account setting will be stored until you log out of the service.
Please note:
- You will need to log into your accounts on each TV from which you wish to access your own accounts.
- You are responsible for ensuring that you log out of these services at the end of your stay.
- If you find that the TV is already logged into the account of a previous guest, please log out of this before logging into your own account.
