Using the Electronic Darts Scorer

Scoring is made easy using our electronic darts scorer (Thomas and Anca Darts Deluxe Electronic Dart Scorer).

Quick and Simple Instructions

Use the following default settings to get playing quickly. The scorer can also be configured for more complex gameplay by following the "Full Instructions" below.

  • Switch on the machine, both on the power socket and using the switch on the scorer.
  • Use the MODE Button to select drt and press ENTER twice
  • Three dots are displayed under the Home team number (for away team to throw first press ENTER Buttons and the dots will move to the away side).
  • Once the first player has thrown, key in their score and press ENTER.
  • After the second player has thrown, key in their score and press ENTER.
  • The game then repeats with the first player throwing again.

Playing a match

Turn on the machine

Use the MODE Button to select drt (Darts Game Mode)

Press one of the ENTER Buttons – A number will be displayed on the right hand side, this is the current game length (e.g. 501) If this is the game length required push ENTER or if a different game length is required use the Numbered buttons to key in the game length and then press ENTER.

The display will show LEG and a number (This is the number of Legs required to win a set). Press ENTER to use the current selection or use the numbered buttons if you want to change this and then press ENTER.

The machine will now go to the start of the game - Three dots are displayed under the number on the Home teams score to show the home team is throwing first (if you want the away team to throw first press one of the ENTER Buttons and the dots will move to the away side).

Once the first player has thrown key in their score and press ENTER. Their score will be deducted from the total and the dots will move to the opposing side. The other Team/ player can then key in their score and push ENTER

Once a player has checked out, their last score is keyed in and then Press ENTER, their score will go to zero. Press ENTER again and the display will show No drt. Use the numbered buttons to key the number of darts thrown to check out (1, 2 or 3)

Press ENTER and the display will show three dots on both sides – If you want to show the average data press the AVERAGE Button (The 1st push will show the Average per dart for both teams/players. 2nd push shows their 3 dart average. 3rd push shows the number of darts thrown in the last leg.

Press ENTER return to the game The players LEG Scores are displayed at the top of the display and P will be flashing to show you can select which player is to throw first – you can change this by pressing ENTER and the dots will move from one side to the other (by default the player throwing first will alternate automatically).

Once you start playing the next Leg the Set score will be displayed at the top with the Leg scores.

To start a new match press the MODE Button twice quickly and the machine will reset and show drt and then follow the procedure above. (Turning the machine off and back on will also reset it).


Other Buttons

Clear – If a mistake is made while entering a score use the clear button and then key in the correct number.

Error – If an incorrect score has been put in and the enter button has been pushed the Error button will delete the last score, the correct score can then be keyed in.

Recall - During a game the recall button can be pushed to step back through the previous scores. Pushing Enter will return to the game.

Mode - Quickly pushing this Button twice will reset the machine and the last game mode will be displayed, it then can be repeatedly pushed to scroll through the other game modes:

(drt – Darts Match. Prc – Practice. Rnd – Random number generator. Sol - Solo Play. PAC – Play against computer.)

H/C – This button is used to enter a handicap. Before the start of a game. Press the H/C Button H C will be shown at the top of the display, to select the player that the handicap is to be applied use the CLEAR Button (a red dot at the top indicate the selected player). Use the numbered buttons to key in the handicap value then press ENTER and the handicap value is deducted from the players total, this amount will be deducted for all legs of the match.

Other Game Modes

Practice

Turn on the machine

Use the MODE Button to select Prc (practice mode)

Press the ENTER Button and a score is generated

The player can then try to throw the score shown

Press the ENTER Button to generate another score and repeat as required


Random number generator

The Machine can be used to generate random numbers for a raffle.

Turn on the machine

Press the MODE Button to show rnd (random number generator)

Press ENTER and L is displayed. Use the numbered buttons to put in the start number (Lowest number)

Press ENTER and H is displayed. Use the numbered buttons to put in the finish number (Highest number)

Press ENTER to generate random numbers.

Solo Play

Turn on the machine

Use the MODE Button to select SOL (Solo play mode)

Press the ENTER Button – the current game length is displayed (e.g. 501)

Press ENTER to use the current game length or use the numbered buttons to key in the game length required and then press ENTER.

Once the player has thrown key in the score and press ENTER ( the score will be deducted from the total).

Continue entering scores until the player has checked out

When the last score has been entered the display will go to 0

Press ENTER and no drt is displayed (number of darts) using the numbered buttons key in how many darts were thrown on final throw (1, 2 or 3)

Press ENTER and a row of dots is displayed – The player can push The ENTER Button to start a new game or use the AVERAGE Button to view the average data (1st push shows average per dart. 2nd push shows the three dart average. 3rd push shows how many darts were thrown in the Leg).

Once the average data has been viewed press ENTER to go to the next game.


Play against computer

Turn on the machine

Use the MODE Button to select PAC (Play against computer)

Press the ENTER Button – the current game length is displayed (e.g. 501)

Press ENTER to use the current selection or use the numbered buttons to key in the required game length and then press ENTER.

LEL is displayed (level of difficulty) using the numbered buttons select the level of difficulty (1 Easy to 8 advanced). Then press ENTER

Once the player has thrown key in their score and press ENTER the score is deducted from the total. The machine will then generate a score and deduct it from the computers total. Continue entering scores until either the player or computer wins

The machine will then reset to the next game.
