Only a 10-min walk from the house, but there is plenty of parking available if you wish to drive. This gastropub is a great venue for relaxed meals with all age groups. Food is served from 12:00 am to 9:30 pm Monday to Saturday, and from 12:00 am to 9:00 pm  on Sunday. Booking is advisable, especially during peak times (Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday lunch).

AMK Indian Take-Away, Colwyn Bay

Only 10-minute walk from Cedar Lodge is our nearby Indian takeaway. Located just across from the Pen-y-Bryn pub, you can easily pick up a large variety of Indian food. They offer a Sunday Special with all main meals half-price, but please remember that they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays (opening hours 17:00 to 23:00).

Bryn Williams at Porth Eirias, Colwyn Bay Promenade

This trendy restaurant offers great views of the sea and promenade, with ample parking outside. If you don’t mind walking, it is possible to do that from the house, which takes around 45 minutes each way. However, be prepared for a steep trek uphill on your return! Breakfast is served 9.30 am to 11.00 am, lunch from 12.00 pm to 2.30 pm and dinner from 5.30 pm to 9.00 pm. Evening dining  is more suited to adults than children, and reservations for dinner are advisable.

Virgilio’s, Colwyn Bay

This family-run restaurant in the center of Colwyn Bay offers a delightful blend of Portuguese and Italian cuisine, with roots in Madeira. It provides a warm and friendly atmosphere that is great for both adults and children. Be sure to look for the painting of Cristiano Ronaldo inside, who also hails from the island of Madeira.

The Toad, Colwyn Bay

On the sea front in Colwyn Bay, The Toad is a fantastic spot to eat or drink while enjoying fabulous costal views. 

It is only 1.5 miles from Cedar Lodge (a 5-minute drive) and can be reached on foot in 25 minutes (although it is far easier to walk there than to tackle the uphill return journey!).

Signatures Restaurant, Conwy

The restaurant is set within Aberconwy Resort, an upscale private park home site featuring spa and leisure facilities. Once inside, the holiday park atmosphere completely fades away, revealing a lavishly decorated dining space. The restaurant serves contemporary British cuisine from an open kitchen, along with a well-stocked bar. It is more suited to adults than children, especially in the evening. Booking is essential.

Erskine Arms, Conwy

The Erskine Arms is a traditional Georgian coaching inn nestled within the medieval walls of Conwy, just a stone’s throw from King Edward I’s imposing fortress, Conwy Castle. Dylan's Menai Bridge

Though Dylan's is a bit further from Cedar Lodge than our other suggestions, it's well worth a visit if your itinerary includes a trip to Anglesey or beyond. With stunning views over the Menai Strait, Dylan's offers fantastic local cuisine and promises a memorable dining experience.

White Lion Inn, Colwyn Bay

The White Lion Inn is an award-winning gastro pub and restaurant located in Llanelian-yn-Rhos, Colwyn Bay. Just a 10-minute drive from Cedar Lodge, this welcoming pub offers excellent food and stunning views. Possibly the oldest country pub in North Wales, the White Lion is well worth a visit. We highly recommend their Sunday roast lunch, which provides great value.
