Lounge TV Instructions

TV is provided via the Sky Q service, which has a large selection of the channels in HD, together with Sky Cinema and Netflix. DVD/Blu-Ray discs can be played via the player provided.

Please turn off the TV when you are finished using it (long press on the power button of the Sky remote)


Sky Q remote

Use this remote to control most viewing functions

  • To turn on the TV: press the Power button (top left button on the remote)
  • To turn off the TV: press the Power button and hold it down until the TV switches off
  • To access Sky TV: press the “Home button”, use the arrow keys to navigate the menus and select items by pressing the button in the middle of the arrows
  • Netflix: press the “Home” button and select the “Apps” menu item. Choose Netflix from the list
  • Catch-up TV: to access a full range of catch-up TV (BBC, Channel 4, etc) press the “Home” button, and select catch-up TV.

Samsung TV remote

This remote controls more advanced functions for the TV

  • If you wish to switch between the Sky Box and DVD/Blu-Ray player, press the "Source" button (top right button of the remote) and choose the required option.
  • Advanced: it is also possible to access your personal Netflix and Amazon Prime accounts. See detailed instructions below.

DVD/Blu-Ray player remote

This remote controls operation of the DVD/Blu-Ray player.

  • To switch input between Sky and the Blu-Ray player, select “Source” on the Samsung TV remote (top right button)

Accessing Your Own Netflix and Amazon Prime Services

You can access your personal Netflix and Amazon Prime accounts (if you subscribe to these services) by logging into these from the TV. To do this:

  • Click the dedicated Netflix or Amazon Prime button on the TV remote.
  • Log in using your personal username and password.

Your account setting will be stored until you log out of the service.

Please note:

  • You will need to log into your accounts on each TV from which you wish to access your own accounts.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that you log out of these services at the end of your stay.
  • If you find that the TV is already logged into the account of a previous guest, please log out of this before logging into your own account.
