About the Pellet Stove ("Whole House" only)

The pellet stove, located in the Cinema Room, is an extremely efficient and easy to use stove. It burns wooden pellets, which are a renewable fuel, to provide a stove that offers the benefits of a real fire but can be turned on (or off) at the flick of a switch and is largely maintenance free.

Lighting the Pellet Stove

  1. Before starting, ensure that there are wood pellets in the hopper (lift the lid on top of the stove). A supply of pellets can be found in the scuttle next to the stove; if necessary, top this up from the supply in the garage.
  2. Press and hold the power button until the display changes and you hear the motor start.
  3. It will take about 10-15 minutes for the fire to light fully, so please be patient. You should not need to adjust any other setting on the control panel.

Turning off the Pellet Stove

  • To turn off the stove, press and hold the power button. The stove does not immediately turn off but will continue to run until the fire has gone out, which can take up to 10 minutes. Please do not turn off the stove at the mains during this time.
  • PLEASE REMEMBER TO TURN OFF THE STOVE BY PRESSING THE POWER BUTTON WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED WITH IT

Please do not alter any other settings on the control panel, it is only necessary to turn the fire on and off as described.

Health and Safety

  • The stove gets hot when in use. Please keep children away from the stove when it is lit, and do not allow them to play with the controls.

Please Note

  • Do not open the front door to the stove while the fire is burning
  • Do not try to burn anything other than wood pellets in the stove
  • If an alarm sounds from the stove this is normally to indicate that the wood pellets are running low or the fire has failed to light
  • Only in emergencies should you turn off the stove at the mains when it is running
  • If you are unsure about how to use the stove, please call Robin on 07710482350
